St George’s School is a thriving independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18 located on a stunning 33 acre green site in Ascot, only eight miles from Heathrow and 25 miles, or 45 minutes, west of Central London. It is one of the leading girls' boarding and day schools in the UK, and is a place where girls flourish academically, creatively, physically and morally. Pupils are individually known and experience a tailored education in this deliberately small school. The girls achieve academic excellence, but also develop their creative, physical and imaginative interests, supported by a close network of teaching and pastoral staff.
St George's has an excellent record of girls achieving places at some of the top universities in the UK including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE and Durham as well as prestigious art schools such as Central St Martin's and Chelsea College of Art. Boarding mirrors family life with experienced House Staff organising an array of weekend trips and excursions. The Arts are exceptional with facilities including a 350 seat theatre, a separate drama studio and a new Music Technology Room and recording studio, a dedicated dance studio, plus a Chapel Choir which performs at Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral and undertake a biennial European tour.
Netball, swimming, football, athletics, cricket and tennis are all played competitively and facilities are extensive with a stunning 25m, six lane swimming pool built in 2019 and a new state-of -the- art fitness suite.
