Walhampton School

Co-educational, Girls, Boys, Prep, Boarding and Day in Lymington,, Hampshire

Walhampton gives children the space, support and encouragement to explore their passions. We continue to instil traditional values of Kindness, Curiosity and Achievement and develop core knowledge, but we are also focused on preparing our children for senior school and beyond, where problem solvers and empathisers will be key.

The school feels like something out of Swallows and Amazons…Pupils spend as much time outdoors as possible, for learning as well as play - Good Schools Guide

Above all, our children are nurtured to develop a genuine love of learning. Our unique location in 100 acres of woodland on the edge of the New Forest and The Solent means that we can offer a broad and balanced education that takes our learning beyond the classroom; into our kitchen garden, fields, lakes and woodland to bring subjects such as maths, English, science and history to life.

Our Pre-Prep children take part in Forest School once a week, making the most of our wonderful outdoor classroom and mastering the childhood essential skill of tree climbing! Our Prep School children also have timetabled outdoor learning activities such as archery, bush craft, canoeing and kayaking on the lake and sailing. All children have access to horse riding lessons at our dedicated equestrian centre.

Pupils achieve 100% success in entry to their first choice senior school with nearly 50% awarded scholarships this year. Walhampton is confirmed as ‘Excellent in all areas’ by ISI. Pupils who have a parent in the armed forces are eligible for a discount on boarding fees and we can also sponsor their visa if you live overseas.
