Kingswood School

Co-educational boarding and day in Bath, Somerset

Situated on a magnificent 120-acre site in Lansdown, Bath, Kingswood’s 120-acre campus boasts top-class facilities: welcoming and homely boarding houses; flood-lit all weather pitches; recently refurbished gym; modern theatre spaces; inspirational art studios, music school and DTE workshops. The school’s approach blends academic excellence with a strong emphasis on the arts, sport and pastoral care, while maintaining traditional values and a forward thinking mindset. Kingswood provides an environment where intellectual rigour, creativity and compassion thrive, ensuring that every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our ethos of service, resilience and global perspective is underpinned by our Methodist foundation and reflected in our pastoral care, supported by staff and Governors with Forces backgrounds. From cosy film and pizza evenings on Fridays, to lively sports fixtures and trips to Bath on Saturdays, followed by an exciting range of Sunday outings, there’s always plenty going on for our boarders.

We have a welcoming network of Forces and FCDO parents: We’re always happy to put prospective families in direct contact so you can hear first-hand what life at Kingswood is like. Those in receipt of the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) only pay 10% of the basic school fees.
