Stonar has a unique charm and a sense of calm contentedness. Stonar pupils are happy, kind, and enthusiastic. They work hard, achieve highly, and participate fully in a positively competitive environment, enabling them to reach their full potential. Situated on a 90-acre rural site between Bath and Chippenham, pupils benefit from extensive grounds for sport, outdoor education, and a lively weekend and evening activities programme. Recognised as one of the UK’s leading equestrian schools, Stonar offers an inclusive programme supported by outstanding riding facilities at the heart of the campus. With stabling for up to 74 horses, an indoor and outdoor arena, a cross-country course, and a hacking track, there are opportunities for both beginners and experienced riders. Pupils may bring their own horse or pony to school or ride one of Stonar’s.

Three boarding houses provide a welcoming ‘home-from-home’ for the 135 full boarders, fostering friendships across age groups and ensuring pupils’ happiness and wellbeing. Academically, Stonar is particularly strong in the Sciences, Creative Arts, and Computer Science. As part of the international Globeducate group, pupils enjoy opportunities to attend events in Europe.
